What is the difference between static and dynamic website?
Static website costs less to build, but cost more to maintain as its maintenance involves the participation of programmers. A static website is one that is written in HTML only. It is not dynamic, meaning it remains the same and there is no database that it draws on. A dynamic website is one where the content of specific pages are pulled from a database (ie: online catalog, event calendar, online forms, e-commerce stores, etc.).
How long does it take to develop?
A static paged website can take up to a few weeks, depending upon how many pages you require and the content within; a dynamic website can range between a few weeks to a few months depending upon your requests.
Do I pay upfront?
Not for a quote but once you have established a go ahead with the website project, you will be asked to pay half the cost upfront and the other half on completion, prior to going live.
How do I pay? Visnetmedia has online invoice and payment program. Once you have been supplied with an invoice, you can simply login and follow directions.
You cannot pay without an invoice, if you have lost it you can use the invoice program to retrieve another.
Is it secure?
Yes, we use PayPal as it is an internationally used secure service. If we have problems we will change provider. If you have a PayPal account you can bank transfer.
For my dynamic website with a backend administration, will I need any special software or knowledge about web design?
No, our highly skilled staff will add the software to your website for you so you can instantly start editing your pages.
It is really easy to use - just like word and comes with some information, but visnetmedia give you a pdf of instructions as part of the website package
